The Australian Free Seedring is a place to obtain seeds for a small donation. It works by volunteers running individual chapters in their local area receiving seed donations from various people. A gold coin donation along with every order helps to pay the cost of running the chapters (renting out the PO box, envelopes, stamps, etc). All information collected by this website is kept confidential and will not be given out to any advertising comapnies, etc.
How do I order?
Register an account (for free) and utilise the online cart system.
Select your specie(s) desired and complete the shopping cart.
Your order will be emailed to you and you now need to print it out and post it, along with a stamped self addressed envelope (and single gold coin donation) to the appropriate seedring chapter P.O. Box.
The relevant chapter member will fill the order and post it off as soon as they get a chance, please be patient as this is a voluntary position and often needs to be a lower priority, usually it is relatively quick, but can fluctuate so please be patient. If needed, please email the relevant chapter with your question.
Can I order more than one species?
Yes, multiple species per chapter can be requested, but please be reasonable and only request what you will utilise, please no hoarding or exploiting because of the cost.
Can I request more than one seed pack per species?
Generally, no. Seed quantities per species constantly fluctuates, the amount of seed sent out per species will depend on stock level at the time and will be evenly distributed. At times seed packs can be large yet may also be quite small, each chapter tries to supply as much seed as possible, but for the purpose of the seedring, generally all you need is a single viable seed that will produce fertile offspring. If you are unsuccessfull growing your seeds, you can order more.
NOTE: YOU CAN NOT ORDER MORE THAN ONE PACKET IN THE ONLINE ORDER FORM, AS ORDERING OVER THIS AMOUNT CAN COMPLICATE STOCK QUANTITIES AND OFTEN HAS RESULTED IN SPECIES BEING AUTOMATICALLY DELISTED ONLINE WHEN STOCK IS IN FACT AVAILABLE AND THEREFORE NOT AVAILABLE FOR ORDER UNTIL NEXT STOCK TAKE. CHAPTERS WILL SUPPLY ENOUGH SEED RELATIVE TO STOCK LEVELS AT THE TIME. |
